Sweeping Vehicle Maintenance Knowledge
In actual operation, maintenance is a crucial task for Metengqi ride-on floor scrubbers, as proper maintenance directly affects the scrubber’s performance and service life. Maintenance is especially vital for ride-on floor scrubbers. The main maintenance methods are:
1. Empty and clean the wastewater tank. During operation, large floor scrubbing machines suction up a mixture of water and sludge, which can easily accumulate in the tank and produce odors. Therefore, it is essential to rinse the tank thoroughly with running water.
2. Empty the clean water tank. It’s especially important to note that if you don’t clean it daily, stagnant water can become a breeding ground for bacteria and other microorganisms.
3. Clean the machine body thoroughly, paying attention to all parts of the ride-on floor scrubber—including the body itself, machine recesses, wastewater pipes, filter screens, and other areas—to prevent any blockages.
4. Battery Maintenance: The battery is the power source for floor scrubbers and serves as a core component. It also plays a decisive role in determining the lifespan of the floor scrubber. For ride-on battery-powered models, it’s essential to regularly wipe down the battery and floor scrubber/washing machine batteries with a dry cloth to keep them clean. This prevents particles from entering the battery’s openings and disrupting normal operation.
5. Inspect and replace the water squeegee regularly; check the wear of the brush disc and water squeegee once a week. If the floor surface is abrasive, applying excessive pressure during cleaning can damage or accelerate the wear of these components. Under normal conditions, the brush disc can be replaced after 50 hours of use. Conversely, the water squeegee’s rubber strip should be flipped over after 30 hours of use.
