However, when we talk about the warranty, there’s always a caveat: The warranty doesn’t cover wear-and-tear parts. So here’s the question: What exactly are these wear-and-tear parts? Will they just claim something is a wear-and-tear part whenever you run into a problem? And will they refuse to cover it under warranty? Today, I’m going to explain exactly which parts of a floor scrubber are considered wear-and-tear parts. Among the main wear-and-tear components of a floor scrubber, the first two are the brush disc or brush pad and the microfiber mop pad, and the second is the water-absorbing rubber strip. Why are these two parts considered wear-and-tear items? Because the brush disc is used for scrubbing the floor, while the water-absorbing rubber strip is used for wiping up water. Both of these components are constantly in operation, constantly rubbing against the floor surface. Over time, through daily friction, they naturally wear down—indeed, wear and tear is essentially their job description. That’s why the brush disc and the water-absorbing rubber strip aren’t covered under the warranty. Another important point to note is that damage caused by human factors isn’t covered by the warranty.
