Why are street sweepers becoming increasingly popular?
During daily cleaning, the edges and rotating brushes of floor-sweeping robots tend to become entangled with fine objects such as hair and yarn. If these accumulations are not regularly removed, the motor may overheat due to excessive load and high torque. Over time, even mild accumulation can shorten the battery’s lifespan; in severe cases, it could directly burn out the motor. Most floor-sweeping robot manufacturers provide dedicated cleaning tools. If none are included, you can use a toothbrush or other suitable tool to thoroughly clean the brushes. To begin, open the brush compartment and inspect the brushes at the bottom. Remove both brushes, then take off the brush covers on the left and right sides of each brush, as well as the brush shaft on the right side. Use the provided hair-cleaning tool to remove any hair or debris from the brushes. Next, remove the brush sleeves (yellow) on the right side of both brushes. Carefully check and remove any hair or fibers wrapped around the brush shafts. Be sure not to lose the brush sleeves during this process. After cleaning the brushes, reinsert them into the brush compartment, making sure they align properly with the slots. Once installed, manually rotate both brushes to ensure they spin smoothly and without any obstructions.
1. The side brush and roller brush need to be cleaned immediately. During daily cleaning, brushes such as the roller brush and side brush often get tangled with fine debris like hair and yarn. Just like the plastic brooms we use in everyday life, these brushes must be cleaned promptly. If they aren't cleaned regularly, the motor will experience increased load and high torque, causing it to overheat. In mild cases, this will only increase the battery’s workload and shorten its lifespan. However, in severe cases, the motor could burn out completely.
2. Avoid high temperatures. After all, a floor-sweeping robot is an electrical appliance, and like any electrical device, it’s sensitive to heat. It’s best not to use the floor-sweeping robot in high-temperature environments; try to operate it only when the ambient temperature is below 35 degrees Celsius. If you charge or use the robot in an environment where the temperature exceeds 40 degrees Celsius, the battery capacity will gradually suffer permanent damage. In environments exceeding 60 degrees Celsius, the battery will immediately swell and become unusable. Of course, room temperature generally doesn’t reach such high levels. In summer, don’t leave the floor-sweeping robot exposed to direct sunlight.
3. Avoid collecting flammable waste. When collecting waste, it’s best to carefully identify the type of waste and refrain from sweeping up any flammable materials. For example, flammable items such as matches and lighters should never be swept up using a floor-sweeping machine. The motor can overheat, increasing the risk of fire. Floor-sweeping machines are easy to operate—employees don’t need training to use them—but it’s crucial to educate staff to exercise sound judgment when handling waste, especially regarding flammable materials, so as to prevent potential hazards before they occur.
4. Do not use in damp environments. Many components of the Hemei sweeper are detachable, and for ease of maintenance and cleaning, using it in damp environments can easily affect the operation of the internal motor and other components. What are the advantages of using a sweeper over traditional cleaning methods? The principles of “nature’s selection,” “survival of the fittest,” and “the law of nature”—which dictate that competition occurs among species and within organisms themselves, as well as between species and nature—ensure that only those best adapted to their environment survive.
As cleaning methods continue to evolve, we’ve seen a progression from brooms made of sorghum stalks to plastic brooms, then to vacuum cleaners, and finally to floor-sweeping robots. Among these, floor-sweeping robots can be considered the most advanced cleaning tool. So, what advantages do floor-sweeping robots offer over traditional cleaning methods? Typically, floor-sweeping robots employ a combination of brushes and vacuum systems to sweep debris off the floor and into their own dustbins, thereby efficiently completing the task of floor cleaning. In general, robots that perform sweeping, mopping, and wiping functions are collectively referred to as cleaning robots.
As living standards in China continue to rise, cleaning robots—previously marketed primarily in Europe and the U.S.—are now entering the domestic Chinese market and gaining increasing acceptance among consumers. Moreover, these products are evolving from their current stage of basic intelligence toward higher levels of sophistication, gradually replacing manual cleaning tasks.
