Common Floor Cleaning Machine Faults and Solutions
Floor scrubbers have become indispensable cleaning equipment in the cleaning industry, and we can see them working in virtually every area. However, as floor scrubbers are used over time, they inevitably encounter various malfunctions—large or small—that are an unavoidable part of their operation. Below, we’ll briefly outline some common floor scrubber faults and their corresponding solutions, hoping to be of help to everyone! Floor Scrubber Troubleshooting Methods:
1. If the water-suction blade at the back of the floor scrubber doesn’t clean up water effectively or doesn’t suction water at all, check whether the suction hose and the water-suction blade are blocked by debris. If the machine isn’t suctioning water, verify that the drain pipe and the wastewater tank lid are securely closed. Also, check whether the float inside the wastewater tank is blocking the motor inlet, thus preventing suction. If the float is stuck and blocking the suction port, simply use your hand to push it down.
2. When the floor scrubber is cleaning the floor, if the water-absorbing pressure of the water-absorbing strip on the suction squeegee is uneven, you can adjust the balance wheel so that the angle between the water-absorbing strip and the floor surface is 45° for optimal results.
3. Check whether the suction motor is functioning properly. Once the suction motor fails to operate, the cleaning efficiency will be significantly reduced.
4. Low water output or no water output at all. If the floor scrubber’s water output decreases or stops altogether during operation, there could be two possible reasons: First, the added clean water may contain impurities that have clogged the outlet pipe; simply remove the impurities from the clean-water filter. Second, the lack of water output could be due to the floor scrubber’s water outlet or filter being completely blocked by debris, or possibly because the clean-water solenoid valve has been damaged—simply replace the solenoid valve in such a case.
5. Do not use high-foam detergents in floor scrubbers, as excessive foam from high-foam detergents can linger for a long time and may cause the water-absorbing motor to draw in foam, leading to motor damage.
6. During use, be sure to follow the operating instructions carefully to avoid damaging the machine and rendering it unusable.
7. After each daily use, promptly recharge the floor scrubber’s battery. Do not recharge it multiple times in a single day (except for lithium batteries), as this can shorten the battery’s lifespan. 8. After each use, remember to clean the wastewater tank to prevent excessive buildup of dirt that could erode the tank over time. In summer, this could lead to unpleasant odors.
