Reasons for Noise in Industrial Vacuum Cleaners
Industrial vacuum cleaners invariably produce some rather unusual noises during operation. So, how can we identify the causes of these noises?
1. When the dustbin and filter of an industrial vacuum cleaner start making a “tap, tap” sound—indicating hard objects are hitting against them—this suggests that the vacuum has sucked in metal particles, metal fragments, or relatively hard, bulky objects. This could potentially damage the filter element. In such a case, simply stop the machine, remove the foreign objects from inside, and prevent the hard objects from scratching or tearing the filter material.
2. When the motor area emits abnormal sounds such as “da, ka” or “ka, ka,” the cause of increased noise in the industrial vacuum cleaner could be due to factors like deformation of the impeller causing it to rub against the housing, contact between the motor’s rotor and stator, or damage to the motor bearings. In such cases, if the issue is not addressed promptly, it could lead to motor failure and eventual destruction—and even trigger a fire due to heat generated by friction. Once this type of noise occurs, immediately stop the machine, disassemble the motor or impeller cover, identify the specific location where abnormal friction or collision is taking place, and then adjust or repair the affected components accordingly.
3. Industrial vacuum cleaners have strong suction power. If you choose a dust nozzle or brush that is too small or inappropriate, not only will the cleaning performance be affected, but the equipment may also emit sharp or abnormal noises.
