Paying attention to daily maintenance is always a good idea—floor cleaning machines deserve special care.
Floor scrubbers are specialized machines designed specifically for cleaning hard-floor surfaces. They come in a wide variety of specifications and models, making them particularly well-suited for cleaning large-area spaces. However, as these machines become increasingly widely used, consumers are paying more and more attention to the daily maintenance of the water tanks on Metech floor scrubbers. Simple maintenance tasks can effectively extend the service life of the floor scrubber, significantly reduce its failure rate, and improve both work efficiency and cleaning performance. 1. After finishing work, remove and thoroughly clean the carpet brush or floor brush from the scrubber to prevent prolonged pressure from causing the bristles to deform. 2. Empty the clean water tank, especially if it’s not used frequently.
1. After finishing work, remove and clean the carpet brush or floor brush from the floor scrubber to prevent the bristles from becoming deformed due to prolonged pressure on the machine.
2. Empty the clean water tank, especially if the floor scrubber is not used frequently for cleaning tasks; otherwise, stagnant water can become a breeding ground for bacteria and other microorganisms.
3. Empty and clean the wastewater tank. During operation, the floor scrubber sucks up a mixture of water and sludge, which can easily accumulate in the tank and produce unpleasant odors. Therefore, it is essential to rinse the floor scrubber’s tank with running water.
4. Check whether the water suction blade is clean. If cleaning is required, use running water to wash both the rubber strip of the floor scrubber’s suction blade and the suction inlet.
5. Cleaning the suction hose connected to the water squeegee not only effectively extends the lifespan of the floor scrubber but also prevents partially uncleaned debris from interfering with the suction performance.
6. Regularly inspect the floor scrubber’s brush disc and water suction blade for wear. If the floor is extremely abrasive, applying excessive pressure to the floor can damage these attachments or accelerate their wear.
7. Regularly check the water-absorbing filter screen of the floor scrubber. The filter screen can sometimes become clogged with impurities, which may hinder the flow of water during floor cleaning.
8. Regularly clean the drain pipe with clear water to prevent residual cleaning agents from corroding the inner wall of the floor scrubber’s drain pipe and to avoid bacterial growth.
