What is dry ice cleaning?
Dry ice blasting is a cleaning process in which a high-pressure air stream propels dry ice pellets from a dry ice blaster onto the surface to be cleaned. The physical phenomenon of temperature difference causes materials with different thermal expansion rates to separate from one another. When dry ice pellets at -78 degrees Celsius come into contact with a soiled surface, they undergo a brittle-fragile explosion, causing the dirt to contract and loosen. Subsequently, the dry ice pellets instantly vaporize and expand by a factor of 800. The powerful stripping force generated by this process quickly removes contaminants from the surface of objects, achieving fast, efficient, safe, and energy-saving cleaning results. The carbon dioxide used in dry ice blasting originates from industrial exhaust gases and air separation processes at high altitudes. Dry ice blasting itself does not produce carbon dioxide.
