Expanding to a 10-billion-scale over two years, the era of dominance by a single floor scrubber manufacturer is coming to an end.

Expanding to a 10-billion-yuan market within two years, the era of dominance by a single brand in the floor scrubber industry is coming to an end. China National Radio Network After the sudden surge in popularity of floor scrubbers in 2020, the market quickly heated up. By 2022, the market size is expected to reach 10.5 billion yuan, bringing with it dramatic changes in the competitive landscape. Tineco’s early-mover advantage is gradually weakening, while an increasing number of innovative brands are vying for market share. Relevant data shows that there are now nearly 200 floor scrubber brands on the market, with at least 24 new models launched every month. In the fiercely competitive floor scrubber market, product iteration speed, channel coverage breadth, marketing intensity, and financial strength are all indispensable. Industry insiders predict that the competitive landscape of floor scrubbers will soon shift from “1+N” to “X+N.” The brand landscape is undergoing major changes. As a trend-setting hit product that has transformed the cleaning appliance industry ecosystem and market share, floor scrubbers have rapidly become a key sales category for cleaning appliances. According to data from AVC, from January to September this year, the floor scrubber category continued to maintain high growth, with cumulative sales across all channels reaching 5.89 billion yuan, up 76.4% year-on-year; sales volume reached 1.982 million units, up 85.5% year-on-year. In fact, floor scrubbers began selling in the Chinese market as early as 2016, but it wasn't until 2020 that they officially entered a period of rapid growth. In 2019, total floor scrubber sales across all channels were only 70 million yuan. However, driven by increased demand for home cleaning in 2020, total floor scrubber sales surged to 1.29 billion yuan. By 2021, floor scrubbers experienced a rapid boom, with sales reaching 5.78 billion yuan—a 348% increase over 2020. This year, the floor scrubber market continues to grow rapidly, and it's no doubt that sales will surpass 10 billion yuan. According to AVC estimates, the floor scrubber industry will reach 10.5 billion yuan in 2022, representing an 81% year-on-year increase. Floor scrubbers have become one of the fastest-growing niche segments in the cleaning appliance industry, and the number of floor scrubber brands has expanded rapidly. In just over two years, the total number of brands in the floor scrubber industry has reached 163. From a brand type perspective, today's floor scrubber brands can be divided into four categories: the first includes specialized cleaning appliance brands such as Tineco and Dreame Technology; the second comprises general household appliance brands like Midea and Haier; the third consists of internet-based brands including Xiaomi, Yunmi, and 360; and the fourth includes cross-industry brands such as Mibro, Supor, and Joyoung. Last year, amid rapid growth, the floor scrubber brands had already gone through their first round of elimination, resulting in significant changes in the top 10 brand rankings. Currently, floor scrubbers are in the second round of elimination, with highly active brand competition. In terms of sales share, from January to September 2022, Tineco, Dreame Technology, and Haier ranked among the top three brands. Among them, Dreame Technology showed particularly remarkable growth, its market share multiplying several times over, and in less than a year, it has joined the ranks of leading floor scrubber brands. Dreame Technology’s rise is closely linked to its deep penetration into various channels. From January to September 2022, total floor scrubber sales across all channels reached 5.89 billion yuan, of which online channels accounted for 4.97 billion yuan, representing 84.3% of total sales. Among online channels, Douyin e-commerce accounted for 21.7%, making it one of the key channels for floor scrubber brands. From a category perspective, trendy home appliances are an important part of Douyin’s best-selling appliance categories. Take floor scrubbers as an example—this new category features novel functions that most consumers have never heard of. Through intuitive demonstrations via live streams and short videos, these products can quickly capture consumers’ attention and spark impulse buying. On Douyin, Dreame Technology has been ranked No. 1 in market share for three consecutive months. Industry insiders predict that although Tineco was the first to popularize the floor scrubber category in the Chinese market, as new brands continue to enter the market, competition is becoming increasingly fierce. Tineco’s current advantages are gradually shrinking compared to the beginning of the year, and the competitive landscape of floor scrubber brands will shift from “1+N” to “X+N.” During this transition, brands seeking to establish themselves will inevitably face tougher challenges. Product iteration speed, marketing capabilities, and channel coverage breadth will all become critical factors—and brands must also consider whether they have sufficient funds to support R&D and marketing efforts. Consumer demand is becoming more refined. Over the past two years, under the demands of different consumer groups and complex scenarios, floor scrubber products have become increasingly differentiated. There are price segments ranging from below 2,000 yuan (the popularization zone), 2,500–3,500 yuan (the concentration zone), and above 4,000 yuan (the upgrade zone). Each price segment has its own target consumer group. Looking at the pricing distribution of newly launched products, there’s a clear trend of growth at both ends. After entering 2022, the average price of new products dropped significantly—45.7% of new products had an average price below 2,000 yuan, up 16.3% from the same period last year. Meanwhile, high-end products priced above 4,000 yuan saw a slight increase of 1.7% compared to the same period. But from the perspective of core users’ preferred price ranges, 48.9% of users focus on the 3,000–3,999 yuan range, while acceptance of high-end products priced above 4,000 yuan accounts for 27.4%. “Looking ahead, Dreame Technology will further expand its presence in the mid-to-high price segment. Through technological breakthroughs and differentiated selling points, we’ll drive overall product quality improvements, providing users with smarter, more cutting-edge, more thoughtful, and higher-quality cleaning experiences and services,” said a representative from Dreame Technology. According to AVC data, from January to September this year, a total of 219 new models were launched. Among the top 20 best-selling models, Dreame Technology’s new products performed exceptionally well, with three models—H12, M12, and M13—making the list. From an innovation standpoint, floor scrubbers have now entered the 3.0 era, with iterative product innovations moving from corded floor scrubbers—wireless floor scrubbers—wireless steam floor scrubbers. As one of the leading brands in the cleaning appliance industry, Dreame Technology has taken the lead in technological innovation, being among the first brands in the industry to launch wireless steam floor scrubbers. It has achieved major industry breakthroughs such as wireless steam technology, real-time dual sterilization/degreasing technology, and cold-hot dual water circuit switching technology. These innovations bring users a smarter and higher-quality cleaning experience. Compared to corded steam floor scrubbers on the market, wireless steam floor scrubbers solve the problem of cumbersome power cords and difficult operation, making them much more convenient to use. Moreover, wireless steam floor scrubbers offer even more obvious advantages in cleaning performance. The Dreame T12 wireless steam floor scrubber features four cleaning modes—standard, water absorption, hot water, and steam—among which the steam and hot water cleaning functions stand out for their exceptional effectiveness. What is an industrial vacuum cleaner?

Environmental Cleaning Equipment Industrial Vacuum Cleaner An industrial vacuum cleaner is an environmentally friendly cleaning device commonly used in industry. It is employed during industrial production processes to collect waste materials, filter and purify air, and remove dust and particulate matter from the environment. Industrial vacuum cleaners are widely used in various fields such as textiles, chemicals, machinery, pharmaceuticals, and casting, helping to prevent occupational hazards and improve production efficiency. Chinese Name Industrial Vacuum Cleaner English Name industrial vacuum cleaner Features Capable of continuous, long-term operation Power Source 220V/380V/Battery-powered Price From several thousand to tens of thousands Basic Parameters Power, vacuum degree, capacity, airflow, noise level The industrial vacuum cleaner, also known as an industrial vacuum cleaner (English: industrial vacuum cleaner), mainly consists of a vacuum pump, dust collection bag, hose, and nozzles of various shapes. It has an electric fan that spins at high speed when powered on, creating an instant vacuum inside the cleaner. This causes the internal air pressure to drop significantly below the external atmospheric pressure. Under this pressure difference, dust and debris are drawn into the cleaner's body along with the airflow. After passing through the dust collection bag for filtration, the dust and contaminants remain trapped in the bag, while the purified air is released back into the room via the motor, cooling it and purifying the air. The working principle of a wet-and-dry vacuum cleaner differs from that of a regular vacuum cleaner in that it includes an additional centrifugal chamber. When dust, air, and water are sucked into the centrifugal chamber, the heavier water is flung toward the inner wall of the chamber by high-speed rotation and flows into a lower water collection bucket. Meanwhile, the lighter dust and air pass through the centrifugal chamber and enter the filter bag for further filtration. (The cleaning principle of a vacuum cleaner relies on suction to remove dust and dry debris—such as threads, paper scraps, and hair—from floors, carpets, walls, furniture, and other surfaces that are difficult to clean with brooms. Its main components include a vacuum pump, a filter bag (or filter mesh), a hose, a long tube, and nozzles of various shapes. Modern vacuum cleaners offer a wide variety of accessories, including coarse brushes, fine brushes, and rotating brushes designed specifically for removing dirt from carpets; flat nozzles for cleaning walls; and polishing brushes for cleaning floorboards.) This equipment is used in industrial applications to collect and extract particulate matter, dust, smoke, oil, and water generated during production, operations, and transportation. Industrial vacuum cleaners operate on AC power and have relatively high power. They generally come in two types: portable and stationary. Their working principle involves using a motor to drive a high-pressure fan (or integrated unit) to create negative pressure within a confined space, generating suction. Once the material is sucked in, it is filtered through a filter bag or undergoes secondary filtration in a filter drum. Standard models can only handle dry materials containing minimal moisture, whereas wet-and-dry models can absorb oils and water generated during processing. With the addition of an exhaust pipe, they can also be used to remove smoke and gases produced during manufacturing and operations. The most prominent industrial application of vacuum cleaners is in cleanrooms. Industrial vacuum cleaners also include manually operated tools powered by compressed air—high-speed vacuum devices or high-speed pneumatic cleaning guns. These high-speed pneumatic cleaning guns are lightweight, easy-to-use, and powerful handheld vacuum guns. Their internal air amplifiers convert compressed air into a high-velocity airflow with strong suction power. Such vacuum guns are easy to control by hand, eliminating the need to frequently move bulky electric units like conventional electric vacuum pumps, thus reducing the risk of electric shock and motor burnout. Features Industrial vacuum cleaners are widely used across various industrial sectors. Designed and manufactured based on vacuum technology to address cleaning challenges in industrial production, they generally fall into two categories: portable and stationary. Unlike commercial and household vacuum cleaners, industrial vacuum cleaners have their own unique characteristics: 1. The power source for the main unit typically uses 380V power supply. Most industrial vacuum cleaners select 380V industrial power sources to ensure robust performance. The 380V industrial motors equipped in these machines can usually run continuously for 24 hours while remaining durable and reliable. 2. The filtration system employs multi-stage filtration, with various filter materials and structures tailored to specific needs. For example, HEPA filters (with efficiencies as low as 0.01–0.3 μm) or cyclone separators (for solid-liquid separation) can be added to enhance filtration performance. The filtration capabilities of industrial vacuum cleaners far exceed those of commercial and household models. 3. The dust container is larger than those found in other vacuum cleaners. Industrial vacuum cleaners generally have bigger containers than commercial and household models, and their design allows for easy movement and emptying, even when dealing with large volumes of waste. Depending on the situation, different trash bins or recycling bins can be attached to address recycling needs in industrial settings. A common solution is the use of pre-separators, which increase capacity and separate different materials, compensating for some shortcomings in certain industrial vacuum cleaner designs. 4. Accessories are made of metal and feature non-standard designs. The accessories of industrial vacuum cleaners are built to be sturdy and durable. Most parts are made of steel, making them highly resistant and unlikely to break. Additionally, custom-designed non-standard accessories can be provided according to specific usage requirements. 5. Durable materials are selected for construction: a. The housing and dustbin of industrial vacuum cleaners are made of steel plates or iron sheets of appropriate thickness, effectively protecting the motor from damage. b. The bag-type primary dust separator is specially treated to resist dust accumulation and efficiently filter large amounts of dust, extending its service life. HEPA filters can be customized according to the customer’s specific application environment. c. The motors used in industrial vacuum cleaners are imported pumps, requiring a 380V power supply to ensure strong power. They can operate continuously for 24 hours and are highly durable. d. The 220V single-phase motors have carbon brushes, which have a limited lifespan. Applications Based on the above features of industrial vacuum cleaners, they find extensive applications in many fields. First, industrial vacuum cleaners are indispensable in certain production sectors. For example, in the pharmaceutical, electronics, and food processing industries. The national GMP standards for the pharmaceutical industry are strict, and one critical assessment item and indicator is cleanliness. Due to their special functions, industrial vacuum cleaners have become an essential part of production machinery in pharmaceutical companies. Second, for industries such as electronics and mold manufacturing, industrial vacuum cleaners effectively protect the production environment, thereby safeguarding product quality. The cleanliness of these companies’ production spaces directly affects product quality and even the pass rate, playing a crucial role in reducing costs, improving product pass rates, and lowering defect rates. Third, as the economy develops and industrialization increases, labor protection and environmental pollution issues are receiving growing attention from governments and regulatory bodies. The ISO 14000 environmental certification is a prime example—national standards have become more stringent and standardized: pollutants must be generated and cleaned up simultaneously, providing broader market and development opportunities for industrial vacuum cleaners. Meanwhile, as China’s economy grows, the introduction of advanced production technologies has also brought in a large number of high-tech production devices. Their higher cost and price have prompted more companies to pay greater attention to equipment maintenance. The introduction and adoption of industrial vacuum cleaners help companies save costs and reduce expenses significantly. Here are the specific application areas of industrial vacuum cleaners: Mechanical Manufacturing: Used to clean various metal chips and dust, especially showing superiority in cast iron processing. Glass Fiber Manufacturing: Absorbs dust and residue generated during the grinding of hardened surfaces in glass fiber production. Biopharmaceutical Industry: Used for dust removal and purification in production workshops. Food Industry: Absorbs cooking fumes, moisture, and food residues. Grain Processing: Used for handling, transporting, transferring, and cleaning large quantities of grain. Chemical Plants: Absorbs welding fumes, smoke, and harmful powders and particles. Thermal Power Plants: Used to clean accumulated dust and slag, particularly for daily boiler cleaning and periodic maintenance to remove ash buildup. Microelectronics Industry: Used for dust removal, purification, and recovery of cutting waste in production workshops. Battery Manufacturing: Used for workshop cleaning and waste recovery. Textile Industry: Used for workshop purification, removing airborne fiber particles. Casting Industry: Used to clean ladle pits and furnace front pits of slag and scrap metal; removes waste sand, metal burrs, and iron oxide scale generated during casting; cleans sludge. Cement Plants: Used for cleaning, loading, unloading, and conveying intermediate products in cement plants, preventing secondary pollution. Especially during cement packaging, it absorbs and cleans dust, improving workers' working conditions. Steel Mills: Used for cleaning surfaces of steelmaking, ironmaking, coking, sintering facilities, workshops, conveyor belts, transfer stations, elevated platforms, cranes, and rolling mills; reduces downtime and improves productivity. Automotive and Shipbuilding: Used for removing internal weld slag, dust, and debris, as well as for sanding and dust removal before painting. Technical Parameters When purchasing an industrial vacuum cleaner, you should confirm several basic parameters (see the extended reading link for details): power, vacuum degree, capacity, airflow, noise level, the industry it’s intended for, and the types of dust it needs to absorb. Some complex applications may require customized design solutions. Product Introduction An industrial vacuum cleaner (English: industrial vacuum cleaner) is a device used in industrial production processes to collect waste, filter and purify air, and perform environmental cleaning. Industrial vacuum cleaners can suck up various particulate pollutants and liquids, including metals, non-metals, oil, and water. They can also absorb toxic and harmful gases. In the textile industry, they can improve product quality; in the chemical industry, they can recover expensive catalysts. As an environmentally friendly device, industrial vacuum cleaners can effectively prevent occupational hazards such as welders’ pneumoconiosis. Compared to household vacuum cleaners, industrial vacuum cleaners have advantages such as being able to operate continuously for 24 hours, having strong suction power, large dust storage capacity, long service life, and high temperature resistance. In particular, industrial vacuum cleaners have almost no restrictions on what they can suck up—various materials and shapes of waste can be collected. By adjusting the filtering media, such as filter cartridges and bags, they can capture solid particles as small as 0.1 microns, making them suitable for fine chemical and precision machinery industries.Industrial vacuum cleaners also include manually operated, compressed-air-powered tools—high-speed vacuum devices, or high-speed pneumatic cleaning guns—that are fast and highly efficient. The high-speed pneumatic cleaning gun is a lightweight, easy-to-use, and powerful handheld vacuum gun. Its internal air amplifier converts compressed air into a high-velocity airflow with strong suction power. This type of vacuum gun is easy to control by hand, eliminating the need for frequent movement of bulky electric units like those commonly found on the market. As a result, users no longer have to worry about the risks of electric shock or motor burnout. Types There are many types of industrial vacuum cleaners, and accordingly, there are various ways to use them. They can be used individually or in combination with other equipment. Therefore, their application ranges differ depending on the classification. For example, the PDX industrial vacuum cleaner comes in several series: The L series is suitable for recovering large particles, substantial debris, solid-liquid mixtures, and small amounts of liquid. It is used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, electronics, food processing, machinery manufacturing, and metalworking. The O series is a central vacuum system; the main unit can be connected to pipelines or integrated with production lines and equipment, and a single machine can be equipped with multiple suction ports. It is ideal for industries such as chemical engineering and electronics. The A series features a large-capacity design and is suitable for recovering large particles, substantial debris, solid-liquid mixtures, and small amounts of liquid. It is applicable to various fields including machinery manufacturing, metalworking, and plastic processing. When selecting a vacuum cleaner, it’s important to pay attention to the model and type, choosing the right one based on the specific dust collection requirements. Regarding the PDX industrial vacuum cleaner, from a performance standpoint, they are generally categorized into industrial vacuum cleaners, industrial dust collectors, central vacuum systems, and central dust collection systems. In terms of installation methods, they fall into three main categories: mobile, fixed, and central systems. Basic Classification The basic classifications of industrial vacuum cleaners are: Dry-type industrial vacuum cleaners (DQ series) Dry-wet dual-purpose industrial vacuum cleaners (DT series) Explosion-proof industrial vacuum cleaners (EX series) Welding fume-specific vacuum cleaners (HY series) Textile-specific vacuum cleaners (FZ series) Small industrial vacuum cleaners (SQ series) Lightweight industrial vacuum cleaners (DK series) Pulse-type industrial vacuum cleaners (SZ/M series) Pneumatic industrial vacuum cleaners (QY series) Oil-absorbing industrial vacuum cleaners (XY series) Cleanroom industrial vacuum cleaners (SC series) Fixed industrial vacuum cleaners (SG series) High-temperature-resistant industrial vacuum cleaners (HT series) Battery-powered industrial vacuum cleaners (DY series) Other custom-made industrial vacuum cleaners Prices The prices of commonly used industrial vacuum cleaners typically range from a few thousand to tens of thousands of yuan, with most falling between 5,000 and 20,000 yuan. Some specialized models and those with unique designs may cost over 20,000 yuan. Generally, you can consult the sales representatives of each company to confirm exact pricing. Due to differences in quality and brand, even products of the same model can vary significantly in price—sometimes by as much as 1,000 yuan or more. Common Issues and Solutions Edit Broadcast During use, industrial vacuum cleaners should ideally be managed by trained personnel. Before first use, check that the filter bags and filter elements are properly installed and verify the direction of the fan rotation. For models driven by belts, ensure that the belts are not loose or detached. After each use, clean out any accumulated dust from the filter bags as much as possible to prevent moisture buildup, which can lead to clogging and damage the bags. Before use, also inspect the filter bags and filter elements for any damage. If any damage is found, replace them immediately; never use damaged filter bags or filter elements. If the suction power weakens during operation, check whether the suction hose and nozzle are blocked, whether the filter bag is overly full, or whether the surface of the filter element is excessively dusty. Depending on the amount of dust, regularly or periodically clean the filter bags and filters. Filter bags can be regenerated through washing, while filters can have dust removed by reverse blowing with compressed air or gently tapping them by hand. An Analysis of the Development History, Current Status, and Future Prospects of Vacuum Cleaners

An Analysis of the Development History, Current Status, and Future Prospects of Vacuum Cleaners Metengqi Vacuum Cleaner Manufacturer The Gladiator of Dust, Guardian of Health! I. The Development History of Vacuum Cleaners China’s cleaning industry began in the 1980s, emerging gradually during the reform and opening-up process. It didn’t truly take off and start growing rapidly until the mid-to-late 1990s, marking roughly 30 years of growth to date. Compared to European and American countries, China’s cleaning industry started later, yet its development speed has been astonishing, with enormous market potential. As a result, it’s widely recognized across various industries as a “sunrise industry” and a “blue ocean market.” And as one of the most important cleaning devices in the cleaning industry, vacuum cleaners have also experienced incredibly rapid development. The ancestor of vacuum cleaners—the British civil engineer Booth—transformed the “dust blower” into a vacuum cleaner in 1901, creating the world’s earliest prototype of a vacuum cleaner. However, due to its bulky size, cumbersome operation, and fuel-driven mechanism, it failed to gain widespread popularity in the market. As a type of cleaning equipment, vacuum cleaners play an increasingly important role in the cleaning industry and are irreplaceable by many other cleaning devices. They’re widely used in various cleaning environments. According to their operational characteristics, they can be divided into household vacuum cleaners, commercial vacuum cleaners, and industrial vacuum cleaners. Here, we’ll focus mainly on commercial and industrial vacuum cleaners. A vacuum cleaner from over 100 years ago II. Development Stages Stage One: Imported Brands Dominate the Market In the mid-to-late 1990s, as reform and opening-up deepened and expanded, numerous foreign brands entered the Chinese market, sparking a trend of importing high-end products. At that time, China had very few domestic brands and manufacturers in the cleaning industry, and their technological level was far behind that of Europe and the U.S. Consequently, technologically advanced and mature imported brands were enthusiastically embraced in China, maintaining high prices and firmly occupying the Chinese market. These included well-known international brands such as KARCHER (Germany, founded in 1935), HAKO (Germany, founded in 1924), TENNANT (U.S., founded in 1870), Nilfisk (Denmark, founded in 1906), Columbus (Germany, founded in 1926), Starmix (Germany, founded in 1921), Delfin (Italy, founded in 1982), and Soteco (Italy, founded in 1975). At this stage, domestic industrial vacuum cleaner brands were still in their infancy, with immature technology and marketing strategies, and mostly relied on importing foreign products. Stage Two: A Multiplicity of Brands, Intense Competition After entering the 21st century, China’s economy entered a period of rapid development, and people’s demands for quality of life continued to rise. The cleaning equipment industry also saw rapid growth, with more and more domestic brands emerging. Their technological levels became increasingly advanced and gradually matched those of imported brands. China’s cleaning market was no longer dominated solely by imported brands competing against each other. Over the past decade or so, the penetration rate of industrial vacuum cleaners in the domestic market has steadily increased, and manufacturing enterprises have experienced explosive growth. Various domestic brands have continuously grown, gradually breaking the long-standing dominance of foreign brands in the Chinese cleaning market and ushering in a new market landscape characterized by a multitude of brands competing vigorously. Under this new market landscape, many imported brands have faced varying degrees of stimulation and impact. Some have already adapted poorly to the Chinese market environment and chosen to withdraw, while others have been forced to reevaluate the Chinese market and redesign their marketing models and strategies accordingly. The most obvious change has been in pricing adjustments. However, this is a typical development pattern seen in the Chinese market—similar to the automotive industry, where imports dominated in the 1990s, but today we see a wide variety of car brands on the roads. Stage Three: Domestic Brands—Survival of the Fittest While we witness the booming development of the cleaning industry, we must also reassess our current industry situation. Looking only at the industrial vacuum cleaner market, there are very few truly influential brands; product quality varies widely among different brands, prices are chaotic, and market competition is largely disorganized and disorderly.
