Explosion-proof valve Under normal circumstances, an explosion-proof valve functions as either a ventilation inlet or outlet. When a destructive blast shockwave arrives, the explosion-proof valve automatically adjusts or closes in response to the overpressure, thereby preventing the blast shockwave from causing damage to the interior of the building. Typically installed on the exterior walls of protected buildings, these valves can also be mounted on the exterior walls of air-conditioning equipment rooms, providing ventilation and ensuring the safety of the equipment in the event of an explosion.
