A Brief Discussion on the Development Trends of Industrial Vacuum Cleaners in China

A Brief Discussion on the Development Trends of Industrial Vacuum Cleaners in China Although the cleaning products industry currently boasts enormous growth potential, its rapid development has been accompanied by relatively low overall profit margins. In 2013, the entire cleaning industry’s profit margin stood at just 8.1%, representing a year-on-year increase of only 0.4%. Moreover, due to rising costs associated with the production of environmentally friendly equipment and operational expenses for enterprises, relatively few companies have chosen to enter this sector. As part of the environmental protection industry, industrial vacuum cleaners also exhibit relatively low gross profit margins. To ensure the healthy and stable growth of the industrial vacuum cleaner industry, we must make even greater efforts. In recent years, China has begun to place greater emphasis on environmental pollution issues, setting new standards for environmental protection and placing increased focus on energy conservation and emission reduction. The country is also promoting the development of a circular economy and building a resource-efficient and environmentally friendly society. These policies primarily affect large-scale enterprises—precisely those with the most severe pollution emissions. Consequently, sales of industrial vacuum cleaner products have surged in recent years, creating substantial demand for energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies. As a result, the energy-saving and environmental protection industry has experienced rapid growth and has already taken shape to some extent. According to estimates, in 2011 alone, the profits generated by the industrial vacuum cleaner industry reached 1.5 trillion yuan, and the number of employees in the industry exceeded 28 million. The industrial scale of vacuum cleaners continues to expand, with ongoing upgrades in technology and equipment, an increasingly diverse range of product offerings, and steadily improving service levels, thus laying the foundation for a relatively complete industrial system.
