What are the performance characteristics of electrostatic precipitators in industrial dust collectors?

1. Optimal wide spacing and specially configured electrode plates This design ensures a more uniform electric field strength and plate current distribution, increasing the driving velocity by up to 1.3 times. It expands the range of specific resistivity for dust collection to 10¹–10¹⁴ Ω-cm, making it particularly suitable for recovering high-specific-resistivity dust from flue gases generated by fluidized-bed boilers, new-type dry-process cement rotary kilns, grate coolers, sintering machines, and other similar sources, thereby mitigating or eliminating the back corona phenomenon. 2. The domestically pioneered all-new RS corona wire With a maximum length of up to 15 meters, this corona wire features low corona inception voltage, high corona current density, exceptional mechanical strength, and durability—never breaking or deforming. It exhibits excellent resistance to high temperatures and thermal deformation, and combined with top-plate rapping, provides outstanding dust-cleaning performance. The corona wire density can be adjusted according to the dust concentration level, enabling it to handle high-dust-concentration applications with a maximum allowable inlet concentration of up to 1000 g/Nm³. 3. Powerful top-plate rapping for the corona electrode The top-plate rapping mechanism, designed based on dust-cleaning theory, offers two optional modes: mechanical and electromagnetic. 4. Freely suspended anode and cathode electrodes Both the dust-collection system and the corona-electrode system of the HHD electrostatic precipitator adopt a three-dimensional suspension structure. When the flue gas temperature rises excessively, both the dust-collection electrodes and the corona electrodes can expand freely in any direction along the three dimensions. The dust-collection electrode system is specially equipped with a heat-resistant steel belt constraint structure, giving the HHD electrostatic precipitator superior resistance to thermal deformation. Commercial operation has shown that the HHD electrostatic precipitator can withstand temperatures as high as 390℃. 5. Increased rapping acceleration Improved dust-cleaning efficiency: The effectiveness of dust removal directly affects the overall dust-collection efficiency. Most electrostatic precipitators show a decline in efficiency after a period of operation, primarily due to poor dust-cleaning performance of the collecting electrodes. The HHD electrostatic precipitator leverages the latest impact theory and practical results, replacing the traditional flat-steel impact rod structure with an integral steel structure. Additionally, the side-rapping hammer structure of the collecting electrodes has been simplified, reducing the number of dropping hammers by two-thirds. Experimental results show that the minimum acceleration on the surface of the collecting electrodes has increased from 220G to 356G. 6. Small footprint and lightweight design Thanks to the top-plate rapping design of the discharge electrode system and the innovative asymmetric suspension design adopted for each electric field, the overall length of the electrostatic precipitator is reduced by 3–5 meters compared to conventional designs, while its weight is reduced by 15% for the same total dust-collection area. 7. Highly reliable insulation system: To prevent condensation and creepage on the high-voltage insulating materials of the electrostatic precipitator, the casing adopts a double-layer, air-filled roof design with heat-retention capabilities. The electric heating elements use the latest PTC and PTS materials, and the bottom of the insulating sleeves features a hyperbolic reverse-blow cleaning design, completely eliminating the common failure of condensation-induced creepage in porcelain sleeves. Moreover, maintenance, servicing, and replacement are exceptionally convenient. 8. Matching L-C high-performance system: The high-voltage control can be implemented using a DSC system with host-computer operation, while the low-voltage control employs PLC control and a Chinese-language touch screen interface. The high-voltage power supply uses a constant-current, high-impedance DC power source specifically matched to the HHD electrostatic precipitator body, delivering superior performance in achieving high dust-collection efficiency, overcoming high specific resistivity, and handling high-concentration dust loads.
