The ash-discharge device of an industrial dust collector is an essential component of dust-control equipment. Its operational condition directly affects the dust collector’s performance and dust removal efficiency. If the ash-discharge device is improperly selected, air may be drawn in through the discharge port, disrupting the airflow within the industrial dust collector, worsening operating conditions, and even causing the recovered dust to re-entrain into the air, thereby reducing purification efficiency. Alternatively, it could lead to blockage of the discharge port, creating significant difficulties for the dust-collection system.
In the design of industrial dust collectors, the type of ash-discharge device should be determined based on the specific type of industrial baghouse dust collector, the pressure conditions inside the hopper, and the properties of the dust itself, ensuring smooth and reliable ash discharge for the proper operation of the dust collector.
