I. Pressure
Pressure is a physical quantity that indicates the magnitude of the pressure energy within a container. The relative pressure inside the container is denoted by Mh. (1) Working pressure: The maximum pressure that may be reached at the top of the container under normal operating conditions.
(2) Design pressure: The maximum pressure set at the top of the vessel, which, together with the corresponding design temperature, serves as the design load condition. Its value shall not be lower than the working pressure.
(3) Design pressure: The pressure used to determine the thickness of components at the corresponding design temperature, which includes hydrostatic pressure due to the liquid column. When the hydrostatic pressure exerted by the liquid column on a component is less than 5% of the design pressure, it may be disregarded.
(4) Test pressure: refers to the pressure at the top of the vessel during the pressure test.
II. Temperature
Temperature is a physical quantity that indicates the degree of heat contained in a substance, typically expressed in ℃.
(1) Design temperature: The metal temperature of the component set under normal operating conditions (the average temperature across the metal cross-section of the component). Together with the design pressure, the design temperature serves as one of the design load conditions. The design temperature indicated on the nameplate shall be either the maximum or minimum shell design temperature.
(2) Test temperature: Refers to the metal temperature of the shell during the pressure test.

III. Thickness
Thickness refers to the linear length of a material in a particular direction and is typically expressed in millimeters (mm).
(1) Calculated thickness: The thickness obtained by calculation based on the specified conditions. If necessary, the thickness required for other loads should also be included.
(2) Design thickness: refers to the sum of the calculated thickness and the corrosion allowance.
(3) Nominal thickness: Refers to the thickness obtained by adding the negative deviation of the steel thickness to the design thickness and then rounding up to the nearest standard steel specification. This is the thickness indicated on the drawing.
(4) Effective thickness: refers to the nominal thickness minus the corrosion allowance and the negative deviation of the steel material.
