Difficulties and challenges encountered in resuming work and production

In accordance with the unified deployment of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Environmental Chamber of Commerce is tasked with reviewing the resumption of work and production among its member enterprises and identifying common challenges encountered during this process. According to information obtained by the Environmental Chamber of Commerce, the resumption rate in the environmental protection industry is remarkably high. This is largely due to the inherent nature of the industry: environmental services such as wastewater treatment, waste management, and sanitation are considered essential public services. Regardless of whether there is an epidemic or not, these enterprises simply cannot afford to halt operations for even a single day. However, the pandemic has led to a significant increase in operational costs for these enterprises. Wastewater treatment plants have had to increase their dosage of chemicals; sanitation companies have raised the frequency of garbage collection; and prices of raw and auxiliary materials have risen sharply—some increases reaching as high as 40% to 50%.
