As a modern mode of transportation, automobiles bring convenience to people’s production and daily life; however, the exhaust gases they emit cause serious pollution to the atmospheric environment. Therefore, we must strengthen and enhance our awareness of environmental protection. Based on the formation mechanisms of exhaust pollutants, this paper proposes research methods for purifying the major harmful components in exhaust gases—CO, CH, NOx, and SO2. The Metengqi automotive exhaust treatment system can effectively remove these harmful components.
