On-site machine testing in the pharmaceutical workshop: Field performance evaluation of the Zhiyuan Dust-Free C5 cleaning robot.
Recently, our company, together with Zhiyuan Juechen, C5 An intelligent cleaning robot was deployed to a pharmaceutical manufacturing workshop for on-site trial runs and real-world performance testing. It underwent end-to-end validation addressing key requirements such as cleanroom environmental control, floor‑stain removal, and autonomous navigation through complex passageways, thereby accumulating empirical data to support the implementation of an intelligent cleaning solution for cleanrooms in the pharmaceutical industry.
Pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities impose stringent requirements on environmental cleanliness, dust control, and equipment stability. In areas such as workshop aisles, excipient storage zones, and outsourcing areas, hard flooring is prone to generating dust and leaving residual pharmaceutical stains. Traditional manual cleaning suffers from inconsistent adherence to hygiene standards, secondary contamination caused by personnel movement, and high labor costs. For this trial run, we selected the workshop’s actual operating environment to conduct testing. C5 Comprehensive cleaning performance in narrow aisles, environments with numerous equipment columns, and areas where material-handling vehicles frequently pass.
Zhiyuan far ahead C5 Equipped with a laser + Equipped with visual‑fusion multi‑sensor technology, it delivers high‑precision autonomous navigation and intelligent obstacle avoidance, automatically recognizing workshop equipment, material‑handling carts, and personnel. It flexibly plans cleaning paths, supports edge‑following cleaning, and minimizes cleaning blind spots. The device integrates sweeping, mopping, and dust‑pushing functions into a single unit. 550mm Mopping width, 25kg Ground pressure, with a maximum operating efficiency of up to 1980 square meter /h , garbage collection rate > 95% , capable of efficiently handling ground-level contaminants such as powdered chemicals, footprints, and pooled liquids; 90L Large-capacity fresh water tank ensures long‑lasting operation without frequent refilling; the wastewater tank comes equipped with… 4 The minute‑by‑minute self‑cleaning feature reduces the need for manual maintenance. The entire unit operates with minimal dust generation, significantly minimizing particulate matter disturbance during operation and meeting the stringent cleanliness requirements of pharmaceutical cleanrooms, outsourced facilities, and storage areas.
During on-site testing, the technical team conducted a series of evaluations, including path mapping, zone‑based task scheduling, obstacle‑avoidance simulations, and verification of cleaning performance. The robot can… 7×24 The system features hourly scheduling and autonomous operation: after completing cleaning tasks, it automatically returns to its workstation for self‑charging and automatic water refilling and drainage. This significantly reduces the need for cleaning personnel to enter cleanroom areas, thereby minimizing the risk of human‑induced contamination. Additionally, a digital backend enables recording of cleaning routes, covered areas, and task reports, meeting the traceability requirements of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
The on-site trial run of the pharmaceutical workshop yielded excellent measured results, validating Zhiyuan’s dust‑free technology. C5 Feasibility of deployment in pharmaceutical manufacturing settings. Moving forward, we will continue to refine our cleanroom‑adaptation solutions, delivering robust, traceable, and fully automated cleaning systems tailored to industries with stringent environmental control requirements, such as pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, and medical devices.
